Inspector Notes

Today an unannounced Monitoring Inspection took place between the hours of 9:30am and 11:40am. There were 7 classrooms observed with a total of 107 children with 19 staff within the supervision guidelines. A preschool class was observed loading the programs buss and departing on a class fieldtrip to the children's museum in DC. Other groups were observed eating a morning snack, using art stamps, using sensory tables, playing outside, going on a nature walk with magnifying glasses and other organized activities. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, fire drill log and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Violations were found during today?s inspection and can be viewed on the Violation Notice.

Based on record review and interview, the child day center did not obtain a central registry background check for each employee withing 30 days of employment.
Evidence: Staff #6 (DOH: 9/23/2022) record did not contain a central registry background check.
Plan of Correction: The background check was sent but the results weren't received. We'll call OBI today to follow-up.
