Violations

2
Standard 8VAC20-780-520-A
Based on observation, over-the-counter skin products were kept beyond the expiration date of the product.
Evidence:
1. The PreToddler II classroom had a tube of Butt Past ointment that expired 01/2024.
2. The PreToddler II classroom had a tube of Aquaphor ointment that expired 05/2024.
Plan of Correction: I will reinforce our policy to the staff to check expiration date and ensure names are on the products. Also, I will check all medicines monthly going forward.
The expired products were discarded immediately. Violation corrected during the inspection.
Standard 8VAC20-780-520-C
Based on observation, diaper ointment or cream did not meet all the requirements.
Evidence: There were two (2) tubes of diaper ointment or cream (Butt Paste and Aquaphor) in the Pre-Toddler II classroom that were not labeled with a child's name.
Plan of Correction: I will reinforce our policy at the next staff meeting (8/30/24). The violation was corrected during the inspection.
