During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.

Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated and completed on March 26, 2025. The on-site inspection began at 12:05pm and ended at 2:30pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 55 children present and 14 staff. The inspector reviewed seven children?s records and six staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations. The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-260-B
Annual approval from the health department shall be provided for meeting requirements for food services. No Environmental Sanitation Report was not available at the inspection.
Plan of Correction: The executive director requested an inspection as soon as possible.
Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A
Areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a clean, safe, and operable condition. There were three walls in classroom #2, ages 16-24 months, with peeling paint . There were small pieces of peeled paint on the carpet behind a manipulative shelf. The peeling paint was accessible to children.
Plan of Correction: The areas with peeling paint were temporary covered so the peeling paint is not accessible to children. The areas will be repainted on or before April 8, 2025.
Violation corrected during the inspection.
Standard 8VAC20-780-500-B
The diapering surface shall be cleaned with soap and at least room temperature water and sanitized after each use. Staff #6 cleaned the diaper changing surface with a soap, water and bleach combination, but did not sanitize the surface.
Plan of Correction: The staff was redirected immediately on the proper way to clean the diapering surface. The entire staff will be retrained on properly cleaning and sanitizing the diapering surface at our April staff meeting.
