Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on August 3 2022 between 9:30am and 11:15am. There were 85 children in the direct care of 13 staff members. Children were observed playing on the playground, playing board games inside, and dancing. Staff records, children's records, the emergency plan, the physical plant, the fire inspection and emergency drills were reviewed and inspected. Violations are listed on the violation notice. Based on observation, the center did not keep hazardous substances such as cleaning materials in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

Evidence: In multiple rooms of the center, a bleach/water solution was stored out of reach of children, but not locked. The director was notified, and she informed staff to lock them in the cabinets.
Plan of Correction: Staff were notified to lock up cleaning supplies in the cabinets.
