During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.

Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on 09/26/2024 and completed on 09/26/2024. The on-site inspection began at 9am and ended at 12pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 28 children present and seven staff. The inspector reviewed five children?s records and five staff records on-site.

This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, and interviews.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on 10/03/2024. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A
Areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.

There was paint chipping at the bottom of the wood door frames located at the infant 1 playground entrance that was accessible to children.
Plan of Correction: We have contacted our Tuckaway maintenance person and he has come out today {9/27/24) to sand and
remove the lower wood on the door frame that could be accessible to children. Plan Corrected on
9/27/24 and will be repainted over the weekend 9/28/24 in order to prevent the children from
smelling the paint odor.
Standard 8VAC20-780-570-A
When a child is placed in an infant seat or high chair, the protective belt shall be fastened securely.

Two children in the infant classroom were not fastened securely while eating in high chairs.
Plan of Correction: When a child is placed in our infant seat of highchair table, he or she will be immediately
fastened/buckled securely . Plan was corrected on site (9/27/24) while Ms. Bickford was present.

Prepared infant formula shall be refrigerated, dated and labeled with the child's name.

Two out of seven bottles for children in the infant classroom were not dated.
Plan of Correction: When all bottles/food are dropped off in the morning, our teachers will immediately label and date
all bottles/food if parents do not date and label at drop off. Plan was corrected on site (9/27/24)
while Ms. Bickford was present.
