Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 5/03/2022 from approximately 10:00am to 11:45am. At the time of entrance, 68 children were in care with 13 staff members present. Children were observed making mother?s day gifts, coloring, lining up for outside time, playing with toys, painting, counting as a class and discussing what clay is at circle time. The site was organized and contained developmentally appropriate materials. Interactions between the children and staff were positive. A selection of staff and children records, the physical space, evacuation drills and attendance records were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Based on observation, equipment of the center outside was not maintained in a safe and operable condition.
Evidence:
1. The following equipment on the playground had chipped paint: the red and blue train, the green tractor and the Yellow truck.
2. The green merry go round had a small rust area and lifted/cracked metal on the base.
Plan of Correction: Will have the maintenance team paint the playground equipment with chipped paint.
