Inspector Notes
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:45am-10:45m. There were 41 children directly supervised by 9 staff. The physical plant, 5 staff records, 5 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in circle time, free play, exploring the inside of a pumpkin, creating drawings about "community helpers', and a shape art project. There was an assortment of age appropriate materials for the children in care. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Violations
3Evidence:
1. Child 1 has an Auvi-Q epinephrine medication. At the beginning of the inspection there was no staff member present who has obtained certification to administer the Auvi-Q medication.
2. Staff 4, who holds a current training certificate to administer the medication arrived at the center at approximately 10:35am.
Based on observation, areas of the center were not maintained in a clean and safe condition.
Evidence:
1. Personal fans in the Preschool and Two year old classroom were observed to have a layer of dust on the covers and blades.
2. A paper cutter was stored on the top of the cubbies in the Prekindergarten Classroom. The paper cutter was larger than the ledge of the cubbies and was hanging over the edge and in without the safety lock engaged.

Evidence:
The "supplemental page" of the licensing inspection dated 2/6/2023 was posted in a public area of the center. The "supplemental page" contains personally identifying information for some of the children in care.
