Inspector Notes

An unannounced complaint inspection was initiated on 11/13/2023 from 11:15am to 2:15pm as the result of a complaint received in the licensing office related to handwashing and sanitizing. Classrooms were observed and staff were interviewed. Based on a preponderance of evidence the complaint is determined to be valid and 2 violations were cited based on the investigation. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Based on observation, the center did not ensure that children wash their hands with soap and running water or disposable wipes before and after eating meals or snacks.

Evidence:
In the Toddler classroom, 2 out of the 5 children present did not wash their hands with soap and running water or disposable wipes after lunch as required.

Based on observation, the center did not ensure that tables were sanitized before and after each meal or snack.

Evidence: In the Toddler room, staff stated that the tables where children eat are only washed with soap and water and are not sanitized before and after feeding the children as required.
