Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed on 10/21/2024, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 4:00pm and ended at 5:30pm The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews, observations and measurements. There were 46 children present and13 staff. The inspector or reviewed 5 children?s records and 2 staff records. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Hazardous substances such as cleaning materials, insecticides, and pesticides shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

1. The laundry room door, located inside the preschool classroom was not latched, where a dozen cans of paint and 2 one gallon containers of floor cleaner were stored.
2. There were 2 disinfectant sprays that were not locked in the two year-old room.
Plan of Correction: The director will remind all staff that chemicals are to be stored in a locked place at all times. The director will monitor classrooms to ensure compliance.
