During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated and completed on July 8, 2020. The on-site inspection began at 10:00 am and ended at 12:55 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 77 children present and 11 staff. The inspector reviewed 7 children?s records and 7 staff records on-sit. This inspection included a tour of the facility, observations, document review, and interviews.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A
The center shall ensure that areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, are maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.

The playhouse on the toddler playground roof is broken on the edge, leaving jagged edges and pinch points. This poses injury and pinching hazards for the children in care.
Plan of Correction: For chipped wood, we will add a cover to the edge.
Standard 8VAC20-780-550-P
The center is to maintain a written record of children's serious and minor injuries that contains all of the required information and where entries are made the day of occurrence.

Four reports were missing the time when parents were notified and two reports were missing the date when parents were notified.
Plan of Correction: For injury reports, we will ensure that time and date of notification is added.
