Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff both on-site and using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a tour of the program.

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 11/15/21 and concluded on 11/23/21. The director was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 65 children present with 13 staff. A sample of 4 children's records and 4 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on record review and interview, the center did not ensure that all staff have a central registry finding within 30 days of employment.

Evidence:
1. The record for staff 1 (date of hire: 8/18/21) does not contain the results of a central registry finding.
2. The center director confirmed that the record for staff 1 is lacking documentation of a central registry finding.
Plan of Correction: The center responded with the following: A new central registry search for staff 1 will be mailed out today. Going forward, the center will ensure that all background check results are obtained within the required timeframes.
