A complaint inspection was initiated on November 15, 2023 and November 28, 2023 . The complaint was in regards to staffing and supervision. Staff interviews, classroom observations, video footage and
documentation were reviewed. The portions of the complaint in regard to staffing and supervision was deemed VALID.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on video footage and staff interview, the licensee did not ensure children under 10 years of age always shall be within actual sight and sound supervision of staff.
Evidence:
On November 15, 2023, at approximately 7:28am, 11 children were left alone in the classroom without sight supervision of staff for about 30 seconds.
During that time, Staff #1 was assisting a child in the restroom and Staff #2 and Staff #3 were in the office.

Based on staff interview, video footage and documentation the licensee did not ensure there was 1 staff to 8 children for 2 years of age.
Evidence:
In the morning mix age group/preschool classroom, there was one staff with 11 children between 7:16am-7:30am. The youngest child in the group was two years old. The staff to child ratio is 1:8.
