Inspector Notes
A unannounced mandates monitoring inspection was initiated on February 16, 2024 from 11:40am - 1:51pm. The inspection concluded on February 22, 2024. Records were reviewed remotley. There were 37 children with 6 staff present and additional staff was present. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five children records and four staff records were reviewed. The children were observed eating lunch and transitoning to nap. The outside area was inspected.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Violations
5Based on observation and staff interview, the licensee did not esnure areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside were maintained in a clean safe and operable condition.
Evidence:
The outdoor playground equipment multiple areas are peeling. The building paint is peeling on multiple areas. Pictures were taken of the peeling paint. Confirmed with staff.
Indoor there was a broken table in area near the restrooms and kitchen entry. Confirmed with staff.
Evidence:
1- In the 3-5 year old room, there was chemicals sitting next to the food on a shelf.
2-In the classroom where classes are combined in the morning, there was a cabinet unlocked with 5 labled spray bottles with soap and water and santizers in unlocked cabinet.
Evdience: In the 3-5 year old classroom there was not a posted daily routine.
Evidence:
The diapering are in the toddler room, there was daily reports on the surface.
Based on record review, the licensee did not ensure documentation was maintained of emergency evacuation, shelter in place and lockdown drills .
Evidence: The center did not have documentation of evacuation drill for Decemeber of 2023, shelterplace drills for 2023 and Lockdown drills for 2023.
