Inspector Notes

Today an unannounced Monitoring Inspection took place between the hours of 1:30pm-2:35pm. There were 6 classrooms observed with a total of 64 children with 9 staff within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed being held and fed bottles, taking a nap and other organized activities. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, evacuation drill log and emergency materials were observed during this inspection. Violations were found during today?s inspection and can be viewed on the Violation Notice.

Standard 8VAC20-780-450-A
Based on observation, all cots used by children during the designated rest period did not have linens consisting of a top cover and a bottom cover.

Evidence:
1. 14 out of 20 children in the Pre-K classroom did not have a sheet on their cot (bottom cover) while the children were sleeping on the cots.
Plan of Correction: We will make sure all of the children have a top and bottom cover at all times when resting.
