Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 4/17/2023. There were 37 children, ages 5 years- 12 years, and 3 staff members present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, staff qualifications and trainings, staffing and supervision, physical plant, programs, emergencies and nutrition. The children were observed in mealtime, self-directed and self-chosen activities. A total of 5 children?s records, 3 staff records and 6 medications were reviewed. The inspector arrived for the inspection at 6:45 am and departed at 8:00 am.
The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation noticed issued to the provider.

Based on observations, the center failed to ensure that children?s hands shall be washed with soap and running water or disposable wipes before and after eating meals or snacks.
Evidence: Children were observed arriving to the program, and immediately eating food brought from home without washing their hands before eating.
Plan of Correction: Staff will ensure that children wash hands or use a disposable wipe before and after eating.
