Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on 02/03/2025 and completed on 02/03/2025. The on-site inspection began at 6:50 a.m. and ended at 7:40 a.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 7 children present and 3 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 3 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-130-A
The center shall obtain documentation that each child has received the immunizations required by the State Board of Health before the child can attend the center.

The immunization documents for child 1, who had been enrolled for approximately 5 months, was obtained 21 days after the child begin attending the center.
Plan of Correction: Staff will ensure documentation is obtained in the timeline.

The following non-medical emergency supplies shall be required: one working battery-operated radio in each building used by children.

A working battery-operated radio was not available during the inspection.
Plan of Correction: Staff will contain admin to obtain a radio.

The center shall implement a monthly practice evacuation drill.

The was no documentation of a monthly practice evacuation drill for January 2025.
