Inspector Notes
A renewal inspection was initiated on July 11, 2022 and concluded on July 11, 2022. There were 93 children present, ranging in ages from Infant to school age, with 12 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five child records and six staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Violations
3Evidence:
The record for staff #1 (date of last CR 3/02/17) did not have documentation of a completed updated Central Registry.(CR).
2. A member of management stated that the CR had been sent for the update.
Evidence:
1. In classroom #2, 10 children under 16 months of age were observed with two teachers. The ratio for birth to 16 months is one staff or every four children.
2. Administrative staff confirmed that classroom #2 was not in ratio.
Evidence:
Staff #1 stated that the center did not have written procedures for prevention of shaken baby syndrome or abusive head trauma, including coping with crying babies, safe sleeping practices, and sudden infant death syndrome awareness.
