Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated and completed on 3/18/2025, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 3:25 PM and ended at 4:50 PM. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 47 children present and 4 staff. The inspector reviewed 8 children?s records on site and 4 staff records electronically. This inspection included:

? tour of the facility,
? interviews, and
? observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-130-A
The center shall obtain documentation that each child has received the immunizations required by the State Board of Health before the child can attend the center.
There weas no documentation of current immunizations in the record provided for child 4.
Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following:
All children's physical records are available electronically but hard copies will be placed in the notebooks.
Standard 8VAC20-780-140-A
Each child shall have a physical examination before the child's attendance or within 30 days after attending.
The was no physical examination in the records provided for child 4 and child 6, both of whom who have attended for more than 30 days.

All immunizations records are available electronically but hard copies will be placed in the notebooks.
Standard 8VAC20-780-500-A
Staff shall wash their hands with soap and running water before preparing or serving food or beverages.
Staff 1 did not wash their hands before assisting children with the afternoon snack.

All staff will be reminded that they must wash their hands with soap and running water before helping children with their snacks.
