Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A subsidy health and safety inspection was initiated on March 25, 2021 and concluded on March 29, 2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 58 children present. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy regulations that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable requirements and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Based on review of staff records, the licensee did not ensure staff completed the Annual Virginia Health and Safety Updated training for child care staff required annually of subsidy vendors staff.

Evidence:

Staff #4 did not have documentation of completing the annual Health and Safety training for the 2020 year. The training was due for staff #4 by 03/1/2020.
