Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including phone contacts, documents review, interviews, and a virtual tour of the program.
A renewal inspection was completed on 03/08/22. The director was contacted by phone and virtual inspection was initiated to to review records. There were 30 children present, ranging in ages from three to five, with 9 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of two child records and three staff records were reviewed.

The inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on measurement, the center did not maintain the required resilient surfacing depth in fall zones.

Evidence:
1. The inspector measured less than the 6 inches (approximately 3 inches) of mulch required in the fall zone of the two balance beams, three slides and 1 green climber.
Plan of Correction: There is enough mulch on the playground, and it will be spread and or fluffed into the fall zones.
