Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 03/20/2023 and concluded on 03/20/2023 from 9:40 AM to 11:20 AM. There were 24 children present, ranging in ages from 3 years to 5 years, with 5 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five children?s records and five staff?s records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined noncompliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Based on record review and interview, the center failed to practice lockdown procedures at least annually.

Evidence:

1. The documentation of emergency drills were reviewed during the inspection on 03/20/2023. No documentation of a lockdown drill being completed was documented for 2022.
2. The director confirmed a lockdown drill was not completed for 2022.
Plan of Correction: A lockdown drill will be completed by the end of 2023.
