Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 12/11/2023. There were 9 children, ages 17 months- 4 years, totaling 20 points and 2 caregivers present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, personnel, environment and equipment, preventing the spread of disease, emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 children?s records and 3 caregiver records were reviewed. The children were observed in free choice play. The inspector arrived for the inspection at 8:15 am and departed at 9:30 am.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the provider.

Based on observation, the provider failed to ensure that medication, including medications for caregivers and household members, shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

Evidence: There were 4 bottles of vitamins and probiotics on a computer desk in the learning area. The bottles were not locked to prevent access by children.
Plan of Correction: They will not be kept here.
