Inspector Notes

AN unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 11/13/2023 from 10:30 to 12:05. The center had three groups of children in care. A total of 22 children with 5 staff and 2 co-op persons as well as two support people. Observed lots of activities as well as snack time. The children were doing art, playing with blocks, having circle time and playing outside as well as watching the new playground going up. Lots of interaction between staff and children and lots of space and supplies to explore. reviewed 3 staff records and 5 children's records. A violation notice was given to the center along with this inspection summary.

Based on the review of 3 staff records, the center failed to get some of required background checks.
Evidence: Two staff out of three records reviewd, Staff 2 and Staff 3 are missing the criminal records check for a state that is not part of NFF. Both staff have resided in the state within the last 5 years.
Plan of Correction: We will make sure our Co-op people who is in charge of background checks do this.
