Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was completed with 11 children present with two staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records were reviewed. Two staff records were reviewed virtually. The inspection started at 11:00 and ended at noon.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation and measurement, where playground equipment is provided, resilient surfacing failed to comply with minimum safety standard.
Evidence:
1. In front of the swings and in back of the swings there was bare ground showing approximately two feet by one foot in the in the fall zone. Gravel measured 2-3 inches around the bare areas.
Plan of Correction: Maintenance will be notified and more gravel will be ordered and placed around the swings to meet the required depth.
