Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 6/2/2025. The on-site inspection began at 9:50 am and ended at 10:50 am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 2 children present and 1 caregiver; the point total was 5. The inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 caregiver/household member(s) records on-site. This inspection included document review, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on 6/12/2025. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Standard 8VAC20-800-260-A
Access to the water in aboveground swimming pools shall be prevented by locking and securing the ladder in place or storing the ladder in a place inaccessible to children. The gate at the top of the steps leading to the deck surrounding the aboveground pool was not locked, allowing access to children. The children were not outside at the time of the inspection.
Plan of Correction: Backyard gate was shut and locked. Pool gate was shut and locked.

Equipment and materials used by children shall be free from hazards such as loose parts. The swing set on the outdoor play area had a broken brace that had a sharp edge on the broken end.
Plan of Correction: Brace was taken off.
