Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on 12/10/2024 and completed on 12/10/2024. The on-site inspection began at 3:25 p.m. and ended at 4:30 p.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were three children present and one caregiver. The inspector reviewed three children?s records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on December 20, 2024. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Psittacine birds (birds of the parrot family) shall not be in an area accessible to the children.
The provider?s pet bird was in a cage in the living room and was accessible to the children.

Medication shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
There were several bottles of prescription medication and over the counter medication on the kitchen counter. The bottles of medication were accessible to the children.

When meals or snacks are provided by the family day home, the menu for the current one-week period shall be dated and list any substituted food.
The menu posted for snacks did not list the substituted food for the December 9, 2024 nor for December 10, 2024.
