Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated on May 14, 2025 and completed on May 14, 2025. The on-site inspection began at 3:25 p.m. and ended at 4:00 p.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were four children present and one caregiver; the point total was two. The inspector reviewed one child record and one caregiver record on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews and observation.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on May 27, 2025. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

The program is required to submit to VDH and implement a plan to test potable water for lead.
The program did not have evidence of a testing plan submitted to VDH.

Potentially poisonous substances, materials and supplies such as but not limited to cleaning agents, shall be stored in areas inaccessible to children.
The laundry room, which contained several cleaning agents with in reach of the children, was unlocked and the door was open.

REPEAT VIOLATION
Medication shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Several prescription and non-prescription medications were within reach of the children on the kitchen counter, the side table in the living room and the entertainment center.
