Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was initiated on May 3, 2022 and concluded on May 3, 2022. The inspection was conducted on-site by licensing staff. There were four children present, ranging in ages from 19 months to five years, with two caregivers supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of three child records and two caregiver records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation, the provider did not ensure indoor slides and climbing equipment over 18 inches high were not over bare floor.

Evidence:

The indoor double slide climber, was observed on the bare wood floor with children playing on it. The lower platform is approximately 20 inches from the floor and the upper platform is approximately 27 inches from thee floor.
Plan of Correction: Per the provider: I removed the mats that go under the slides to have the new floor put in and the room painted. I had not put them back but will do it now. Corrected while the inspector was on site. The provider removed the mats from the shed, washed them down and placed them under the slides.
