Inspector Notes

An unannounced health and safety inspection was conducted on Monday, December 5, 2022 between 11:45 AM ? 12:40 PM. There were 4 children in care being supervised by 2 caregivers. Children were observed playing with various age appropriate play materials. The inside play area, and restroom were inspected. Children?s toys, learning materials, equipment, and bathroom, inside and outside areas and the home?s first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. Four children?s records, two caregiver records, emergency preparedness plan, fire drill and shelter in place logs, daily attendance and required postings were reviewed. Transportation is not provided, medication is not administered and there were no injury reports to review. The provider was available for interview, inspection and exit interview at which time inspection findings were reviewed and an Acknowledgement of Inspection form was signed and left with the provider. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were not found.
