Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection took place on September 6, 2022 between the hours of 11:50 am and 1:45 pm. There were 42 children present with 8 staff supervising. Positive interaction was observed. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care, nutrition and emergencies. A total of 4 child records and 3 staff records reviewed. Violations were found during today?s inspection and can viewed on the Violation Notice.

Based on record review, tuberculosis screening for staff was not completed within the last 30 calendar days of the date of employment.
Evidence:
Staff #2 Tuberculosis test was dated 2/1/22 and the date of hire was 7/25/22.
Plan of Correction: I will make sure this is done in the future within 30 days.
Standard 8VAC20-780-450-A
Based on observation and interview, a cot used by a child did not have linen consisting of a top cover or a bottom cover.
Evidence:
1. Child in preschool classroom was laying on cot without a top or bottom covered.
2. Staff #1 acknowledged child did not bring his covers today..
Plan of Correction: A clean top and bottom cover was placed on the cot and corrected during the inspection.
