Inspector Notes

An unannounced code compliance inspection was initiated on and concluded on January 29, 2024 There were32 children present, ranging in ages from 3 to 5, with 6 staff supervising. Additional administrative staff were present. A total of 8 staff records were reviewed. The inspection started at 9:50 AM and concluded at 10:50 AM. 10:10 AM. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable code sections and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on staff interviews, the center did not ensure handwashing by staff and children occurred before eating.

Evidence: Center Staff in the 4 year old (M,W,F) classroom verified the children use hand sanitizer before eating and do not always wash their hands which is a required established procedure that is to be implemented.
Plan of Correction: Effective immediately, the four year old class will use soap and water to wash hands before snack instead of using hand sanitizer.
