Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was completed on July 27, 2023 at the center. There were 49 children present, ranging from infancy to school age with 17 staff supervising and 2 administrative staff on site. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 6 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on observation and photograph, the center did not ensure all hazardous substances were kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

Evidence: In the Young Infant room, there was a bottle of surface disinfectant cleaner observed unlocked on the diapering station. A photograph of observation during the inspection.
Plan of Correction: The staff put the cleaner away immediately. The center director will remind staff to put all hazardous substance in locked cabinet after use.
