The staff-to-children ratios of one staff member to four children, from birth up to 16 months are required whenever children are in care. Infant staff confirmed that during the early morning hours of the center, there are 2 staff members with 10 infant children for approximately and hour and a half until 9am. The third infant staff member is not scheduled to be in the infant room until 9am.
Plan of Correction: The center responded with the following: Since this complaint, additional staff have been hired and there is now new administration hired including a new director. A staff member floater will be hired to ensure that coverage during the early morning hours and throughout the day to keep the center in ratio at all time. The center?s director will routinely walk around the center to ensure that all rooms are in ratio.

The staff-to-children ratios of one staff member to eight children, from 2 years old are required whenever children are in care. Staff in the 2 year old classroom confirmed that there are times thought the day when there is one staff and 12 children.
