Inspector Notes

An unannounced code compliance inspection was conducted today from 9:45am AM to 11:40AM. There were 52 children present, ranging in ages from three to five years, with 8staff. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision and procedures. A total of 5 children?s records and 4 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined one non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. Based on staff record review, one background search was not completed.
Evidence:
Out of state criminal record searches for two states were not obtained for Staff #1. Out of state Central Registry searches for two states were not obtained for Staff #1.
Plan of Correction: All out of state background search requests will be made as soon as possible. Follow up within 45 days will be made if results are not received. . All future hires who have lived outside of the state of Virginia will have a criminal record search request made from the state they resided in.
