Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:30am-10:30am. There were 47 children directly supervised by 9 staff. The physical plant, 5 staff records, 5 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in teacher led group time, riding in a stroller, napping, and participating in independent play. There was an assortment of age appropriate materials for the children in care. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Based on record review and staff statement, lockdown procedures were not practiced annually.
Evidence:
There was no documentation that a lockdown drill had been conducted in 2022. Staff 1 stated that no drill was conducted during that year.
Plan of Correction: A lockdown log will be created, and annually lockdown procedure will be practiced and recorded.
