Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety inspection conducted on 3/7/2024. There were 14 children, ages 5 -10 years and 2 staff present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, personnel, environment and equipment, care of children, preventing the spread of disease, emergencies and nutrition. A total of 6 children?s records and 3 staff records were reviewed. The children were observed during arrival, center time and snack time. The inspector arrived for the inspection at 2:38pm and departed the center at 3:49pm.

A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the provider.

REPEAT VIOLATION
Based on the review of three staff?s records, the center failed to ensure that all staff who work directly with children shall have within 90 days current certification in CPR appropriate to the ages of children in care.

Evidence:
1. Staff #1 was hired on 2/19/2023 and on the day of the inspection did not have training in CPR.
2. Staff #2 was hired on 3/22/2023 and on the day of the inspection did not have training in CPR.
Plan of Correction: Provider will obtain cpr training from staff
