Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on 5/19/2025 and completed on 5/23/2025, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 2:21PM and ended at 3:16PM. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 21 children present and 4 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records on site on 5/19/2025 and 2 staff records electronically on 5/21/2025.
This inspection included - document review, tour of the facility, and observations
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Violations

Standard 8VAC20-780-290-A-3
In areas used by preschool children or younger, electrical outlets shall have protective covers. Four outlets did not have outlet covers in the cafeteria where preschool children were present.
Plan of Correction: Staff members will check all outlets each
day before the program begins to ensure
the space is safe before the children arrive.
Standard 8VAC20-780-500-A
Children?s hands shall be washed with soap and running water or disposable wipes after eating meals or snacks. Nine children were observed eating snack and they did not wash their hands when they finished.
Plan of Correction: Staff members will ensure that students wash
their hands after finishing their meals.
Standard 8VAC20-780-60-A
Each center shall maintain and keep at the center a separate record for each child enrolled that contains all of the required information. The record for Child #1, Child #2, Child #3, Child #4 and Child #5, enrolled 9 months, were missing 9 required components.
