8VAC20-790 SUBSIDY REGULATIONS.
Inspector Notes
A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted from 1:30-3:00pm with the director. There were 24 children present with four staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Based on review of documentation, not all staff had current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care. Evidence: the record for staff #2 (date of hire: 8/2/2021) did not contain documentation of CPR. The record for staff #3 had documentation of CPR that expired 3/21.
Plan of Correction: The CPR certificates were in separate folder because we were preparing for an accreditation visit. #3 has current CPR and MAT.

Based on review of documentation, not all staff had current certification in first aid appropriate to the ages of children in care. Evidence: the record for staff #2 (date of hire: 8/2/2021) did not contain documentation of first aid. The record for staff #3 had documentation of first aid that expired 3/21.
Plan of Correction: The First Aid certificates were in separate folder because we were preparing for an accreditation visit. Staff receives first aid and CPR together.
