Inspector Notes

Today an unannounced non-mandated Monitoring Inspection took place between the hours of 10:00am-11:30am. There were 92 children with 20 staff within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed playing with toys, handwriting, reading books, being held and fed bottles and other organized activities. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Violations were found during today?s inspection and can be viewed on the Violation Notice.

Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A
Based on observation, areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, were not maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.

Evidence:
1. In the Toddler 1 classroom, the lock was broken on the cabinets underneath the changing table.
2. In the Two's classroom, the metal panel on the wall that covers a filter was missing broken and missing one metal slat.
Plan of Correction: We will have the lock fixed or remove it and we will get the metal filter cover fixed.
