Inspector Notes

Today an unannounced Renewal Inspection took place between the hours of 11:40am and 1:30pm. There were 3 classrooms observed with a total of 30 children with 7 staff within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed playing outside, cleaning up centers, handwashing and other organized activities. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records were reviewed during this inspection. There is an ample amount of supplies available to the children and positive interactions were observed. Violations were found during today?s inspection and can be viewed on the Violation Notice.

Based on observation and interview, the child day center has not posted the fact that it is exempt from licensure in a visible location on the premises.
Evidence: When the programs exemption letter could not be located, the program director pointed out a framed letter that had expired in 2019. The current letter of exemption was retrieved from a folder in the directors office.
Plan of Correction: I will get the new letter framed and on the wall once it is received.
