Inspector Notes

A renewal inspection was conducted on 01/09/2023. There were a total of 47 children with 7 staff members present. Children were observed during snack time, engaged in group activities and outdoor play time. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 3 staff records were reviewed. During the renewal inspection a self report was investigated. The preponderance of evidence determined no violations issued regarding the self report. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on a review of staff records, documentation that two or more
references as to character and reputation as well as competency were not checked
before employment or volunteering.
Evidence:
Staff #1 (date of hire 10/17/2022) did not have references on file during the inspection.
Plan of Correction: We will get references. She was a former employee who left due to illness and came back. The original reference was not added to the new file. Added the original reference on 1/14/2023.
