Inspector Notes

Today an unannounced Monitoring Inspection took place between the hours of 12:10pm-1:00pm. There were 4 classrooms observed with a total of 58 children with 6 staff within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed playing on the playground, eating lunch and other organized activities. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, evacuation drill log, medication and emergency materials were observed during this inspection. Violations were found during today?s inspection and can be viewed on the Violation Notice.

Based on a review of staff records, 2 out of 3 staff did not complete the Virginia Department of Education-sponsored orientation course within 90 calendar days of employment.

Evidence:
1. Staff #2 (doh: 1/31/2023) did not have documentation of completing the Virginia Department of Education-sponsored orientation course on file at the time of the inspection.
2. Staff # (3doh: 1/11/2023 did not have documentation of completing the Virginia Department of Education-sponsored orientation course on file at the time of the inspection.
Plan of Correction: Staff #2 will complete the training with in a 4 week period and Staff #3 completed the training on 5/3/2023.
