During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.

Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated and completed on 11/17/2025, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 10:30am and ended at 1:45pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 51 children present and 7 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 5 staff records on-site. This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Providers must obtain a completed national criminal background check for each board officer every five years.

The national criminal background check for one officer is overdue by almost 2 years.
Plan of Correction: A fingerprint search request will be made for this officer.
Standard 8VAC20-780-380-A
There shall be a posted daily schedule that allows for flexibility as children's needs require.

A posted daily schedule was not found in all four classrooms
Plan of Correction: The daily schedule is included in the parent handbook but will be posted in each classroom.
Standard 8VAC20-780-40-M
The center shall maintain, in a way that is accessible to all staff who work with children, a current written list of all children's allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions.

The written list of all children's allergies was not current. The written list included one child no longer has a diagnosed food allergy(room A) and two children no longer requires an emergency medication for their diagnosed food allergies.(rooms B and C)
Plan of Correction: The allergy list will be updated by tomorrow and kept current.

The medication authorization shall be available to staff during the entire time it is effective.

The center did not maintain a record of the dates practice drills were completed for the 2024-2025 school year.
