Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 10/19/2023 from 10:10 to 11:50.
The center had 32 children present with 8 classroom staff and two administrative staff. Lots of activities, one class is learning about bees, painting honey comb and having honeycomb cereal for snack. One class had circle time, enjoying their circle buddies, beanie babies. One class was observed having snack. Outs ide play with cars, sandbox fun and lots of good dance music also observed. The center has lots of supplies for the children to explore. A violation notice was given to the center director along with this inspection summary. During the inspection 4 staff records and 6 children's records were reviewed,

Based on the review of staff records, the center failed to have the criminal records check returned before the 1st day of employment.
Evidence: Based on the review of 4 staff records, staff 1, start date 10/16 had fingerprints done on 10/16 and the result has not been received yet. The staff is working at the center.
Plan of Correction: We are using the staff as an extra until we get the background check back. She is not left alone with the children or counted as part of ration.
