review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 10 children ages 3 years old to age 5 years old supervised by 3 staff and 3 volunteers. The physical plant, programming, attendance, menus, 3 staff records, 3 children?s records, 1 medication with corresponding authorization records, emergency drills, emergency supplies, and policies were reviewed. Due to the weather, the playground was not inspected. Children were observed participating in dramatic play, art and building activities. There was an adequate number of staff present with current certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT), CPR and First Aid, and Daily Health Observation (DHO) training.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
