Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 4/14/2023 from 11:45 am-12:45 pm. There were 33 children supervised by 3 direct care staff. The physical plant, 3 staff records, 5 children?s records, and evacuation drills were inspected. No medication onsite. Children were observed participating in group play, washing hands, and eating lunch. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Based on observation and interview, hazardous substances such as cleaning materials, insecticides, and pesticides were not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

Evidence: A multi-purpose cleaner spray bottle and two disinfectant spray bottles were kept in an unlocked cabinet under the classroom sink.

Based on record review and interview, the center did not obtain all the required information for each child's record.

Evidence:
1. Child #1 is missing one emergency contact home address.
2. Child #3 is missing two emergency contacts' home addresses.
Plan of Correction: I will make sure they add the completed addresses.

Based on observation and interview, the SACC program failed to post on the premises the most recent inspection of the facility.

Evidence:
1. The most recent inspection report of the facility, dated 11/16/2022, was not posted.
2. The inspection report that was posted was dated 2/22/2022.
