Inspector Notes

An unannounced code compliance inspection was initiated on 2/1/2024 and concluded on 2/1/2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. There were 10 children present, ranging in ages from 4 to 5, with two staff. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, and procedures. A total of five children?s records and four staff?s records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Based on record review and interview, the center failed to obtain repeat background checks every 5 years.

Evidence:

The record for staff 1's fingerprints are dated 5/4/18 and the fingerprints for staff 2 are dated 5/3/18. The director stated they are the most current fingerprints for staff 1 and staff 2.
Plan of Correction: Staff 1 and staff 2 will be required to update the fingerprint background checks as soon as possible. In the future all staff will be required to updated background checks every five years.
