Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was initiated on 03/04/21 and concluded on 03/24/21. The in-charge person was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were35 children present and 8 staff. The inspector emailed the in-charge person a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 4 children?s records and 5 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Based on observation the center did not have all nonmedical emergency supplies.
Evidence.
The center did not have a working radio, that operated with batteries.
Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided by the director during the exit interview.
The director will purchase batteries for the radio and periodically check them to ensure the radio works.
