Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was conducted on 03/03/2023. A tour of the facility was conducted, in addition to a record review and interviews with staff. The inspector emailed the director/provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 2 staff records, along with any requested program records submitted by the facility to determine if required documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation the center did not ensure all hazardous substances were kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Evidence:
In PreK Room #1 there were various cleaning materials in a cabinet that was unlocked and had the key in the lock.
Plan of Correction: This was an oversight. Director will remind staff that all potentially hazardous substances are to be stored in a locked area and they key should not be accessible to children.
