Inspector Notes

A renewal inspection was conducted on 11/27/2023. There were 17 children present and 5 staff. A tour of the facility was conducted, in addition to a record review and interviews with staff. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on a record review the center did not ensure all required background checks for staff were complete.
Evidence:
Staff #3, hired 09/01/2023, indicated living outside the state of Virginia within the past 5 years. The center did not have a criminal record, sex offender or central registry check from that state for Staff #3.
Plan of Correction: The director will send off for the required out-of-state checks this week.
